Tesla Model 3 S X Y Guide

Seating and Storage

All models have seating for 5, but Model X also has options for seating 6 or 7. All but the base Model 3 have power front seats, heated seats for all, and premium synthetic leather. And all have a usable front trunk under the hood.

Model 3

Model 3 has a manual trunk and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. The trunk is relatively large and has extra space below the floor. Some people get a foldable twin mattress and camp in their Model 3.

Model S

Model S has a power liftgate with a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. It has tons of storage, especially with the rear seats folded down. Early Model S had an option for two extra rear-facing seats for children, but that was discontinued.

Model X

Model X has a power liftgate with multiple seating options:

Model Y

Model Y has a liftgate with optional seating for 7 but expect the third row to be cramped.
