Tesla Model 3 S X Y Guide

Travel

Autopilot

All Teslas include standard autopilot, which means they can maintain speed and safe following distance and stay centered in the lane. You still need to pay attention and take over sometimes, but it does make driving easier.

The full self-driving option costs $6,000 and includes a growing list of advanced features but not actual self-driving yet.

Superchargers

The supercharger network lets you travel long distances each day without stopping for hours to charge. Tesla's supercharger network has two major advantages. It makes long distance travel practical. It's possible to drive coast to coast in 48 hours, including charging.

It's also really easy to use. You don't need to search for different charging stations and sign up for different networks. Navigation automatically adds the best superchargers to your route to minimize charging time. The cost is automatically billed to your account without you doing anything other than plugging in your car.

Superchargers are located near restaurants and shopping. After plugging in, walk away while the car charges for 20 to 40 minutes and get food, use the restroom, etc. Then, unplug and continue your trip.

Here's a map that shows how vast the supercharger network already is.
